Who I am

Hi, my name is Luis, and I am a filmmaker and entrepreneur.

My name is Ľudovít Ján Čalfa. Luis, for short. I am a filmmaker, photographer, and content creator from Košice.

Since I was ten years old, I played with our home cameras and enthusiastically documented the world around me.

I made up my own stories, but mainly I captured experiences, irretrievably fleeting memories from moments in life. And thanks to film, I then turned them into something lasting.

From elementary school, through high school, to my current studies at film school, I have actively worked to improve my creative skills and develop my photography and video production.

My projects, which are the result of more than a decade of experience and the development of my own style, mainly include the creation of documentaries, short films, travel visual stories, advertising and event videos. I also devote myself to portrait, street, and nature photography.

I live and work in Košice, but I’ll be glad to work on any nice projects beyond my homeland’s borders (and the borders of my possibilities)!
